The dangers of Solariums
The Cancer Council Australia has posted their position statement on their website regarding solarium use.
Cancer Council Australia is concerned that many solarium users are unaware that solariums – which emit ultraviolet radiation – do not give a ‘safe tan’. This position statement provides information about the relationship between solariums and skin cancer, as well as skin ageing and eye damage.

Solariums use artificial UVA and UVB radiation, and both are known to be directly responsible for causing skin cancer and prematurely ageing your skin.
The NSW Department of Health also states -
